“Intersectionality and the Climate Crisis” will explore the global climate crisis in the context of its influence on a broad range of social justice issues. After establishing a common understanding of the causes and impacts of global climate change, we will examine how the impacts of accelerating climate change are felt earlier and more strongly by already disadvantaged or marginalized peoples and communities. These same peoples may also be directly impacted by the societal practices and technologies that are driving climate change. We will conclude with the implications of these interacting influences on the quest to broaden social and political power. Presenters: Ken Denson, 350 STL and Daniel Gould, Missouri Faith Voices
